To take part, follow the steps below and let your imagination run wild!

1

Think about what autumn means to you

For this competition you can choose any subject matter you like, so long as it relates to autumn. Some potential ideas could be:

The colours of autumn: Everything looks and feels more vibrant in the summer sun! You could create a piece that showcases the bold colours that are often associated with the season.

The beach: If you're lucky enough to be visiting a beach this summer, could you build something from sand, or draw something into it?

Autumn in Spring: In the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are reverted. So while it is autumn in the UK (where ootiboo is based) it is spring in places like Brazil and Australia! Could your artwork depict this in some way?

Eco: Perhaps you could base your idea on something to do with ecology, such as the importance of insect habitats?

These are just ideas to get you started. If you'd prefer to base your autumn creation on something completely different, that's absolutely fine.

2

Create your autumn themed entry

You can use any materials or medium you like. Sculpt, paint, bake or draw your design, or even build a model. The only limit is your imagination! What weird or wonderful idea will you come up with?

Please note: Entries created wholly using generative AI will not be accepted.

3

Capture your entry

You can scan it, take a photo, or even video your creation in action. Remember to try and capture your entry in good light and with no shadows across it.

Please note: We do not accept photos or videos submissions that include the face of the entrant. Please only record the submission itself.

4

Share your creation
