SummerCraft 2026
SummerCraft 2026 was our first ever summer competition. It ran from 1st June to 31st August.
The SpringCraft 2026 logo was created by Sara, a pupil from Caterham School in Surrey.

“When I think of spring, I think of the weekend picnics I have with friends in my backyard. This acrylic painting is of a particularly memorable gathering in April, when we enjoyed the new foliage with focaccia bread and orange juice.”

“I made this giant mixed collage picture of the Easter bunny out of recycled wrapping paper, furniture boxes, cotton wall and paint. I like that it is the size me and my little brother.”

“For me, nothing epitomises the season of Spring more vividly than when my local bluebell wood awakens from its long winter slumber, transformed by a spectacular carpet of bluebells and fresh shoots on the trees. This was the initial inspiration for my acrylic painting and then I added a stag as the focal point, majestically poised in a clearing and illuminated by shafts of light breaking through the trees.”

“Poppy built a miniature spring world on a wooden log slice, complete with a kite-flying figure, a winding blue river and a mossy tree full of birds.”

“A family of hedgehogs going for a day out, following the Hedgehog Walkway. One of the hedgehogs has a flower on its head. The hedgehogs are made out of clay, with cocktail sticks for spikes. The flowers are made of Fimo clay. They are on top of a painted natural wood slice.”

“Using leaves from the garden and paint to create a flower painting. She also used bubble wrap which she painted and used to make the pattern of the flowers head. Birds and a butterfly fly in the sky with a warm glowing sun shining down.”
